I feel a little guilty about buying this brush. It’s like I’ve cheat on my Denman paddle brush for a younger prettier model. It was an impulse purchase I don’t need but really wanted it, Lulu Guinness at this price could part any girl with her cash.
I love my Denman so much so that I have two of them, one is at least a decade old but it’s still in the condition I got it in. I haven’t given it up as it’s always got a place in my routine for straightening my hair. That and only last week I proved it’s still heat proof, my Ghd’s rolled over on it & other than a slight mark it’s as good as new. However a few weeks ago I became a bit of a floozy when I saw this online. Sometimes all it takes is a name & I’m drawn in. Last week I saw it in store & knew I had to have it.
You Mustn’t Be Afraid To Dream A Little Bigger Darling
When I think of Lulu Guinness I always get the quote above stuck in my head. It’s from Inception & it helps when you hear it in Tom Hardy’s voice! I do this because I may never be able to afford a Lulu Guiness tote never mind a purse or bag. When I got my Bits & Bobs pouch I was over the moon at just owning a piece of the brand it’s so British & iconic. I got it just under half price about £30 and that was a big deal.
When I saw this Tangle Teezer with those infamous red lips all over it I knew before I saw the title who’s branding it was. This along with the black & white stripes give this brush a little extra beauty & unmistakably Lulu Ginness. We can’t all have the expensive things in life but it’s nice to splurge without having to give your right arm to afford it. This is the compact styler version which comes with a bottom piece that fixes in place protecting the bristles whilst in travel. I like this as it clicks in place an won’t just fall out. I think I would have gotten one of these at some point anyway as my hairdresser uses this to brush through my wet hair & it never hurts when she does. I just think that with the added Lulu Guinness Ltd edition bit to it was what tipped me over the edge into buying it.
If you’d like to get hold of one of these they’re limited edition, I bought mine from Top Shop. It’s both available in some stores ( mine was from Sheffield Fargate) or online for £13.50.
