When it comes to expensive mascara I don’t really buy into it because they have such a short product life. It’s suggested to throw them out every 3 months as they can become contaminated each time we run the spoolie through our lashes & the dip it back into the tube. This is why the first expensive mascara that I’ve come across is Mac’s False Lash Extreme which I got as a sample size when I made an online order. I’ve only recently notice how similar it is to one of my old favourites so I had to let you gals see & decide for yourselves if it is too.
I feel like this could be the most non-spring look possible. I feel like I get away with it because it’s very pink! Not your every day pastels or sheer lip colours but something in your face & unapologetic. I guess most would wear this as a night time look but I did this in the day time & loved it. Strong eyes & strong lips complemented each other because my pale skin looked a little stark with just the eye make-up on. Either way let’s get down to how I put this one together, the base isn’t included as I did a very recent post on My Spring & Summer Foundation Routine.
I’ve been on a bit of a crazy train lately, having tried almost all the foundations I thought would be great for Spring & Summer as well as the up & coming wedding bells nearer to the end of the year. Well by what’s above it’s all seems like a great waste of time because I’ve gone back to old favourites but applied them in a better way. This is perfect for those warm Spring days & eventually hot Summer days as well as it lasting as long as you can.
When I enter any shop that sells make-up I always leave with foundation on the back of my hand. Expensive or not whatever budget I’m on I like to test them & compare shades. I like to research them on Youtube to see what people think & make sure to listen for their skin type too. It’s a bit of a mine field when it comes to foundation so these are my tips & tricks to getting the right product without hopefully wasting money.
This whole What’s in my hand bag posts are a favourite of mine to read but I don’t own any designer bag or many carry interesting things. I feel like the odd blogger out as I have no portable charger for an iPhone as my Htc One doesn’t die that often. I own two handbag style bags of which I rarely use. One a Vans Hobo Bag for nights out & my DC luggage bag for overnight stays. My main bag is another Vans one, a cross body bag which until I find something I like more will be sticking around. My sister is hoping I find something new so she can help to take it off my hands! It’s been two years of searching & still nothing beyond my wildest dreams of a Marc Jacob bag have turned into a purchase.
