Razzberry, I can’t be the first to use the name of a lipstick in the reasons why said purchase happened… I just had to share it with you last week in a quick FOTD post. It’s my first ever Bobbi Brown buy so it’s a rather special one. It’s rare I buy such a pink shade but it is quite a strong shade & a unique addition to my makeup bag.
Right now Bobbi Browns latest collection based around the book Pretty Powerful.
Be Pretty. Be Powerful. Be Confident.
Razzberry – The Creamy Matte Concept
Bobbi’s revolutionary lipstick-Creamy Matte Lip Color- combines the look of a classic matte lip with incredible wearability. Creamy and moisturising, it glides on comfortably and feels light-as-air. Not to mention that it’s got staying power, too (it won’t budge for 8 hours)
Let’s get down to it the packaging is so simple but feels luxe. It’s shiny black metal, you can feel the quality as you apply your lipstick. The lid takes a little bit more of a pull that you’d expect to get it off but I never have to worry about it being damaged in my bag. Razzberry is a beautiful medium red berry toned shade which is less in your face than a pure red but it has serious wow factor.
The actual bullet inside isn’t the classic lipstick shape, instead its top is flat & round but on an angle. Initially application was a little awkward but it makes getting a smooth edge around the lip line much easier once I got used to it. Unlike many matte lipsticks this one doesn’t drag & leaves you with a creamy texture that dries down to a matte finish.
I know these are strong words but this really is the ultimate lipstick for me. I love my Nars Lip Pencils but this still beats them. I was originally going to pick a nude up but I decided if I was spending £19 then I should get something that would stand out.
The huge difference is for the first 4 or 5 hours you can’t really feel it’s there & that’s just how I wanted it. It’s creamy but not tacky & when it dries my lips don’t hurt. It’s not as matte as Macs Diva shade which is a bonus you have the time to get used to it. After about 6 hours including drinking the shade did wear down but this happened evenly. Without lip liner there was a bit of feathering which was annoying but not too terrible. After dinner I re-applied but as enough of the pigment was still there I could do a quick sweep over. I then pursed my lips together to get a clean even colour without any messing around.
Bobbi Brown Creamy Mattes are £20.
What’s your ultimate can’t live without lipstick and why?
Also if you have a favourite liner more on the creamy side please let me know as I think that would make this it even better.
