Nip Fab CC Cream - mi

I bought this on a whim after seeing a few reviews & picked this up in T.K.Maxx. This is a CC cream so I wasn’t expecting perfection just an easy way to even things out. I picked up the shade fair as most bb & cc cream only come in three basic shades. Colour correctors aim to do just that, they correct shades in your skin that otherwise would stand out. There not a foundation but more like a tinted moisturiser with added benefits. The other reason i choose this is the SPF 30 as I’m still having trouble getting into the idea of applying it every day. I will get there but this on no or little makeup days would be a good compromise.

When I opened this up the first time I was a little scared by what counts as fair? As you can see above that looks way more like a medium. It’s also an odd gel texture that feels a little sticky when you apply you just expect it to go all kinds wrong. It does dry down but it takes a little more work & I imagine it would be unsuitable for oily skin types. I have quite dry skin & it’s designed with hylauronic acid to help keep moisture in the skin. Once applied and fully blended you can see it sheer out. You won’t end up looking like the Tango man unless you try applying multiple layers like it’s foundation. When you first apply it & do a full face it’s a bit hard to see the difference but you slowly notice things looking more cohesive.

I look a little out of it but this was the best photo, fail!

For me it was a subtle change to begin with but it allowed me to wear blusher without having to hide my rosy cheeks first. I always have red cheeks and find myself either layering foundation up or applying concealer first which can feel heavy & time-consuming. As far as coverage overall this is barely what you’d count as light it really is just to even out your skin tone. I find it weird when you take it back off because it still looks as orange as you take it off with a flannel. I tend to use this on weekend when I’m only wanting to use just a few products to pull myself together.

Would I buy this again? Probably not I think it’s gonna get use but not as much as regular foundations for coverage. So it’s more about the BB & CC debate of it they are necessary.

What do you think? Do you have a loved CC cream or prefer tinted moisturiser?
