From what I’ve heard, read & watched on Youtube Mac are it when it comes to eyeshadow. I’ve spent a long time umming & ahhing over the counter as to what would be the first buy. I felt quite guilty dragging my fiance round with me. It was that or suggest he look at the shirt he wanted & send him on his way to the mens department. I finally made a choice & Sable was it.
If your new to Mac & like me want to save a little while still having a mini shopping spree I suggest picking up a palette. They come in a 15 palette which I’m certain to never fill so I chose a 4 palette for £6.50. Doing this means I can keep upto 4 shades together & pay less than the £12.50 to have it in it’s own pot. My idea with the 4 palette is for a brow colour, maybe a highlighter or just a few other shades as a compact travel palette.
The shade Sable is a golden bronze with a plum under tone. It has a pearly shimmer to it & from what I’ve seen I should be able to pair this with many other colours. For now I’m loving it on it’s own & sadley my photos don’t quite do it justice. It works well whether I use it lightly then blend it out or really pack it on for a bold look. The only other way I’ve done it up to now is using Color Tattoo in On and On Bronze as a base. I’d blend it out then apply Sable to the inner third of my eye & blend this out over my eye. From this I think I will want to buy a few more colours as they are so pigmented, it worth it in the long run.
Sable in a refill pack is £10
I want to buy something a bit more out of my bronze comfort zone but that will be able to be worn on an every day basis , so comments are welcome & wanted.
