As a lover of matte lipstick, I thought liquid lipstick would be its evolved easier to apply cousin. However as much as I’ve mastered lipstick wearing a liquid formula has been a bit of a nightmare! I’ve bought them, applied them, got them on then taken them off again. I know eyeliner can sense fear but liquid lipsticks give me the shakes! However I may have found a winner! In a bit of Birthday spendy mood I went online & ordered a few Mac lipsticks. In a bid to change things up & try something new I choose shades I normally wouldn’t wear. I took a leap & ended up with Patisserie a pink shade with a lustre finish & Kinky a matte neutral red.
When it comes to lipstick I seem to always come back to the same shades so when I picked up Miners Vixen it was nothing out of the ordinary for me. I live in shades somewhere between off pinks (see Dusty Pink ), berry shades (Razzberry or Berry Much) & vamp reds which I’m talking about today. So you probably already know I’m on about the Maybelline Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencils, that’s a mouth full! Can’t we go back to shorter names like matte, glossy & simply lipstick or lip pencil, I digress. Then again I hate seeing numbers instead of names when it comes to colours, unless in Nars case where I can’t pronounce half of them. Continue reading “Matte Lip Pencils To Dupe Bobbi Brown & Nars”
Maybelline Color Drama Lipstick Pencils
Is it just me that’s getting a little excited about this one? I’m completely smitten with the Nars velvet lip pencils but they are rather expensive. Maybelline are bringing the colour and the velvet texture with their very own lip pencils. With 10 shades due to come to the UK out of the possible 22 shades available in the USA it’s only a guess other than the above shown which we get to try out. Simply described as a slim lip khol with a creamy texture these are high on my wishlist for Autumn. On my hit list already are the shades Berry Much & Nude Perfection. It looks like these should already be on the shelves of a local Boots or Superdrug already so I can’t wait for the weekend to do some shopping.
These are priced at £4.99 with Boots running a 3 for 2 offer on Maybelline.
