Could the above photo be the most random collection of items possible bought by a beauty blogger & photographed together? Well I’m under the weather with Tonsilitis & these are the things I bought to make me happier. My fella fetched me Rock N Roll Bride Magazine which if you want an amazing alternative style wedding this is the magazine for you! The Matchmakers are his as I can’t eat chocolate anymore but the pesto was my idea cause I love me some spicy comfort food, possibly into a lasagna which he might blog about soon over on Pies,Pizza & Pasta. Peanut Butter Ben & Jerry’s is purely medicinal to sooth my throat not because Peanut Butter anything is my addiction or anything… back to why your here this Clinique Freebie.

Updated Skincare Routine – Dry Blemish Prone Skin

garnier murad yes to tomatoes organic surge no7 clearasil

Almost everything has changed in my skincare routine since I last did an update at the beginning of 2014. I like to chop & change because I haven’t found any holy grails yet. That’s not to say they were no good just that I’m a floozy when it comes to my skin. It’s a pretty simple routine & I’m hoping to add in a serum when I can afford too.

Ultimate Blends Conditioners By Garnier – Which Is Best?

Ultimate Blends by Garnier - Which Is Best

I don’t often put lots of hair care on my blog as I’m a bit of a budget girl when it comes to my locks. I’ll spend the money to get a decent hair cut & now my new thing is getting it professionally coloured as I’ve done so much damage to my hair in the past. I still often buy what’s on offer for what I use in the week, which is how I came across Ultimate Blends. Continue reading “Ultimate Blends Conditioners By Garnier – Which Is Best?”

Used Up This Month – July Empties

Used Up This Month - July Empties - mi

It seems like I’ve gone through mainly bath and shower stuff this month. With in being so hot I’ve been having more baths or the latest cool down was to lean over the bath and wash my hair with ice cold water. It sure did help keep me cool while I slept but meant I went through conditioner much quicker.

Used Up This Month

Badedas Shower Gel & Bath Foam

I have a feeling that if I do an empties every month then every other month there will be at least one item from the brand in it. I have Psoriasis and this is just the best thing for keeping it at bay without having to use prescribed stuff from the docs. It you want to know more I wrote about Badedas in more detail here. I’ve even bought the massive 750 ml bottle and 2 more of the shower gels since these above.

Herbal Essence Hello Hydration

When I got stuck for shampoo and conditioner about 4-5 weeks ago this was the only thing available in the local shop. It smells nice and it does clean but it just doesn’t have that extra umpf I’m looking for. I don’t expect miracles but this was a little bit meh.

Garnier Blends Conditioner – The Marvelous Transformer

This you will have seen in my July Favourites which kinda seems daft repeating my self so I’ll just say this is good stuff. Makes hair soft and smells gorgeous too.

Simple Soothing Balm and Roll On

These two I finished almost at the beginning of the month and I have been missing them since. I haven’t bought a new eye cream as I just can’t decide whether to get something different or not. When I did pop in to get them they had sold out. I’m guessing I’m not the only one that likes this simple solution. More detail can be found here on a more detail post.

Used Up By The Fella

Nuxe For Men Shower Gel

This was a nice face wash and prefered it this way over being used for the body. It cleaned my ( fellas) beard well and felt soft afterwards. The smell is masculine without it being like Lynx or Old spice and only faintly lingers after use. For more info I posed on Nuxe for Men here.

Fat Face Hair & Body Wash

A good body wash but I wasn’t particularly keen on the smell but it did get my body clean. I’m usually sensitive to stuff and didn’t have any issues with this one. It’s one of those things where you can tell it was just an extra addition to fill space in the box set in cam in a Christmas, wasn’t special.

July “It’s Getting Hot In Here” Faves

I can handle warm days but July has been one hell of a hot month. As soon as I wrote the title I had that Nelly song stuck in my head, at least it’s apt. It also makes me feel super old when I realised (checked Wikipedia) that it was 12 years ago!

Rarely do I show anything beyond beauty bits in my favourites but I had to share this one..

Me My Vans Sunglasses- dupesagirlsbf

These are my new Vans Sunglasses and the were picked up a fortnight ago on what was the wettest weekend of the entire month. However when the sun did shine it was a great relief to have these at hand. At just £7 in the sales it was a bargain that I’ve made use of multiple times. July was hot but this quirky & rather vibrant for me sunnies saved the day.

July Beauty Faves

July 2014 - Favourites - mi

Loreal True Match Foundation 30 ml £9.99

I had a rocky start with this one and it was pushed aside until I found a perfect pairing (here) that made application and final appearance the perfect pale summer base. It’s a light to medium coverage but I like that it allows your skin to breathe & sweat. This sounds wrong but this means that with blotting paper I can remove the glisten from my face without taking away the foundation as well.

Mac Studio Fix Plus Foundation 15g £21.50

Yes a second foundation in my favourites and we all here less is more for summer makeup but this works. I can use it as a touch up for the above mentioned or on super lazy days all over. It doesn’t get cakey but hold the coverage rather well.

Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray 30 ml £9

I long loved setting spray that has lasted me a really long time to say it’s only the travel size. I use this every time I do my makeup as it adds a little extra wear time but also softens out any powder products. It’s almost like a soft focus for your face when you use it onto of makeup. I always apply this by spraying it into a brush and applying in a patting motion.

Clinique All About Lips 12 ml £19

A recent within the last month purchase that has just boosted my love for wearing lipstick. I always try to prep my lips before lipstick but if I forget this means no one else has to know. It is a cream you put on your lips and around your lips and it just smooths the skin out. It’s not cheap but it’s a must have.

Garnier Ultimate Blends Conditioner 400 ml £3.89

As always conditioner is bought on a whim for me as and when needed. This one smells really gorgeous so I went with it and I’m glad I did. I only apply this to the length of my hair as it’s a rich conditioner. You don’t even have to leave it on long I can feel my hairs softer even as I wash it off. It might not be a forever thing but that’s the second bottle I’ve bought which is a good sign.

P.s All links are to where I’ve bought them from unless a link isn’t available.
