Weight Watchers Food Diary 15.07.16

Since downloading my Weight Watchers app I’ve been a bit hit and miss filling it out. Because of this I’ve decided to put everything I eat online in a food diary. This is to give me a place I can easily look back on week by week to see how I’m progressing. Of course the aim is to loose weight which is why I’m following the plan in the first place. My problem is accountability & pretending that chocolate didn’t happen! I’m following the Smart Points system which is the latest version of Weight Watchers.

Weight Watchers

As of now Weight Watchers plans are based around the smart points system. This uses calories, saturated fat, sugar and protein to calculate how many smart points a food or meal is. It simplifies many small numbers into one therefore making it easier to stick to. You get given a number of smart points per day based on your stats and a number of weeklies to stick to. The idea is as you loose weight your smart points number is reduced. I use the app which is rather steep at £12.95 a month but I do think it’s worth it due to how effective it is at having everything you could need.

What I learn’t This Week

I think this was easier than I was expecting it to be but many factors were involved in it. Writing the food diary out online was a good idea as it made me think more about what I was eating. I’d also wondered if I stuck to it because I’m a bridesmaid next weekend. My last dress fitting is tomorrow & as a safety net I bought shape wear pants to help smooth the bumps out so maybe I was more relaxed.

Britain’s heat wave curbed my chocolate intake as it was just too sticky & uncomfortable. As I often get headaches when dehydrated as a result of this I upped my intake of water massively. That helped curb my hunger because it filled me up between meals. I still haven’t given up my Dr Pepper & Lilt Zero completely but I drink them less often. Finally I feel like I’m getting back in control & maybe I’ll do better this time.

If your wanting to start your own food diary or want more information on what I’m doing leave me a comment below so we can do this together.

Knowing that I couldn’t handle the meetings because I don’t do well in those situations I feel a bit stuck alone in this. I’d love to have people to chat to about this stuff other than my poor husband because I’m sure he’s bored to death of smart points chats!

You can message me over on Instagram & Twitter for a more speedy reply. If you love Pinterest like I do then you can find me there too!
