Revlon Matte & Kissable Balm Stain – Mini Preview

revlon kissable balm stain matte balm 2

I think I did well to hold out this long in buying this and I caved last weekend and just got round to trying them out.

I’d say haul but it was just a quick dash in panic at how little time I had and dash out of Boots. That didn’t stop me from completely swatching every shade, some twice. Have you ever given your boyfriend that “which do I pick ?” face. At the time it’s seems totally normal then afterwards I realized his eyes weren’t glazed over but that I was asking a stupid question to someone who really had no knowledge on the subject.

I’m surprised for now that I only liked one of the Revlon Matte Balms shades which ended up being Sultry. On swatch they are very opaque but easy to apply but a lot of the shades were way too bright for me. I know they are the Colorburst range but I didn’t expect that level of colour. So they were 3 for 2 and still are for now which is why I’m previewing them before I test them out. The other I picked up was the Kissable Lip Stain , this was accidental I thought it was a matte but I guessing if I liked it in swatch it hadn’t been that much of an issue to me when I picked it up. The shade crush is a translucent purple and just as simple to apply with a nice wash of colour which even in Crush gave a more natural tone. The other plus is it’s a twist up base so no need for a sharpener which is great for on the go.

So all were £7.99 along with my third item the Revlon Photo Ready Cream Blush in Charmed which I will write about in the future when I get round to trying it out as it’s a first for me.

  • I love the Kissable Balm Stains with a passion 🙂 We don’t have the new releases over here yet, so I’m trying to wait patiently and am stalking beauty blogs in the mean time 😉
