How many nude palettes do we need in the beauty arena? Is there room for one more ? When it comes to nude palettes in the UK there is the under £8 mark with brands from Makeup revolution to Sleek. Then there’s a giant leap to the high end brands starting with Urban decays Naked basics at £20.
Nude Palettes – Why This Could Be Good ?
The Maybelline The Nudes palette sits bang in the middle where few if none mid range brands have gone here. For me it’s the defining moment that somebody realised we want the quality of the single eyeshadows without the cost to create a palette of singles. It would cost nearly £50 to buy 12 maybelline single eyeshadows and not very travel friendly either. At that price it’s cheaper to buy one of the Urban Decay Naked palettes.
In Maybelline The Nudes palette you get just under a third of the grams of the singles. In the US the palette is $9.99 to $12.99 so in the UK it could be around £15ish at a third of the cost of the singles it would still be a fair price.
I think Maybelline have decided it a better for them to sell 12 smaller eyeshadows together than someone buying one of theirs and then other singles from other brands. In a way it means you might only need there brand to great your every day eye makeup look.
I hope that this does make it across the pond and if it has the same quality as the single eyeshadows then this could be a steal. Hopefully the price point will be close to my guess work above? I just hope they don’t drag their feet on getting it out over here.
I’d love to know your thoughts on this new contender?
If you’ve tried it I’d love to know if it’s any good?
