When I decided to go blonde a few weeks ago I spent them researching (googling) for the products I’d need to keep my hair in a good condition. To say it took a full day of bleaching & toning which you can read here in my Red To Blonde post my hair is in pretty great condition thanks to a great hairdresser & Olaplex! However I still have ends that are a bit brassy & the general condition of my hair is dry & frizzy to begin with. So I did a little shopping over the weekend & picked up some bits to help me along the way. Continue reading “The Blonde UpKeep Haul”

I haven’t done a wish list in the longest time, possibly before Christmas because I’ve had no money. I can wish all I want but unless there’s cash that’s spare as in not rent then I just have to tame the “I need it now” monster in my head. August Wishlist

July August Wishlist

July has been quite a thrifty one when it comes to makeup. I’ve been discovering old loves and making use of long forgotten buys. I’m spending more time deliberating on what I will use so I don’t end up with endless draws of beauty bits. There are a few things below that keep coming to mind and they are above and hopefully I’ll pick some up soon and into August as well.

July August Wish List Picks & Why

Eylure Brow Palette
£9.95 –
I’m liking the idea that Eyelure have expanded out into the makeup arena, maybe not in typical fashion but they know eyes and brows are essential for framing them. I’m hopihn for high standards to match the price tag.

Rimmel Kate Emerald Gel Eyeliner
£6.99 –
Since I saw this on the shelves with the rest of the Kate collection this has been the piece that was stand out for me. I’ve been playing around with blue eyeliner and more recently with greens. I think this could be the perfect level of colour but still a darker shade.

Maybelline Baby Lips Berry Bomb
£2.99 –

Maybelline Baby Lips Pink Shock
£2.99 –
Heres hoping I fair better with these ones, if anything I’m a lip balm hoarder and these speak to me. Love the bold packaging and I’m intrigued by the berry shade.

B. Sculpted Contour Kit Light – B. – Eye Shadow
£8.49 (offer) –
I haven’t tried contouring so something drugstore would suit first attempts. I like that this is matte, creamy and has a light shade for pale skin.

Sleek MakeUp Bare Skin Foundation
£8.99 –
Do I need another foundation, no! Do I want one, very much so. I tried this in store and I’ve been thinking about it ever since. It’s definitely a light coverage but also a light enough shade.

I love the Barry M Matt nail varnishes and after loving the Sinful Colours matt  a bright shade I know I’ll have to pick at least one up. I’m aiming for Cancun as it’s a bright green shade it’s right up my street and beautiful for summer.

Eylure Brow And Tame Define Wax
£6.45 –
My brows are getting to the point of excess so I could do with some taming and I think this could do the trick for me.

Saving Up For Something Special

Saving Up For Something Special

Bobbi Brown Tinted Lip Balm in Pink Raspberry

£15 –
I’m a little bit half and half about this one after all it’s a lip balm. Then again it’s a Bobbi Brown Lip Balm it interests me enough to want to at lest test it out and see if it’s all that different. Also wondering how much pigment will show up on the lips as I this would be an easy to wear summer shade.

Out of all of Macs latest collection nothing really stood out that I really wanted to buy into this limited edition collection. The Alluring Aquatics is pretty compared to the standard black but not enough to sucker me in this time. I did however like the idea of having a Mac nail varnish and this one is super gorgeous. Submerged is an almost holographic shade with multi glistening shades that make me want to try it.

£260 –
This is what I would call a crazy amount to spend on a bag but for as long as Marc Jacob has been on my radar I’ve wanted to own one of his bags. This is a lovely messenger bag and is exactly what I want and would be perfect as my weekend use bag. Yes £260 is alot but I think I’ll be saving up for this one over the next year, if not this one then maybe look in the Christmas sales.

Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation Stick
£29 –
Ever since I saw this on Gossmakeup on Youtube I have wanted to try it. I’ve been having trouble with foundation for the last month or so and think this could be a good one to try. It used to be full coverage but now is more or a medium coverage that can be built up, it has lots of shades so more chance of a match.

Mac Sized To Go Zoomlash Mascara
£8 –
I know this isn’t going to burst the bank but that’s kinda the point for me. I only wear make up at the weekends so this would be the perfect way to try out a few Mac mascaras without having to spend quite as much money on something that might not suit.

The packaging alone makes me want to own this the set. I think this would be the perfect set out of all the gift boxes that Charlotte Tilbury does. It contains everything you need to recreate a vintage vamp look. Expensive maybe but I would adore something like this and it comes with a makeu bag to hold all your lovely pieces of makeup.

£24 –
I can’t comment on how good the lipstick is but the shade Mayday just sang to my heart when I saw it. it’s a dark raspberry red shade and the tube just screams luxury. I’ve spent may a time swatching at the Dior counters seeing if a lipstick would suit so maybe next time I’ll take the plunge.

Bobbi Brown Art stick
£19 –
I believe this is part of a growing obsession with all things pencil related, in makeup I mean. I love my Nars Velvet Mattes so I can’t wait to try these out. It’s a shame it’s exclusive to Selfridges so if I do want it there will be some traveling involved to get it.

Illamasqua Masquara Raven
£16.50 –
I’ve spent the last year pondering getting something from Illamasqua and I’ve changed my mind every time but I don’t know why but I keep seeing this and wanting it. A little bit mascara-centric lately, I’m trying to figure out if it’s worth spending the cash on something you’re supposed to throw out every 3 months.

MAC Sized to Go False Lashes Extreme Black
£10 –
Another mini Mac mascara because I wanna try out both. I love Mac but usually guilt trip myself out of buying bits so this wouldn’t be so bad I’m thinking. A way of having something special without breaking the already broken bank.
