When you suggest something it always seems like a good idea at the time not that this wasn’t but I really believe we never quite learn, it’s a process. I’m on my own hair dye journey I felt willing to suggest to my fella if he wanted I’d colour his mohawk again. The wedding is far enough away that by the time we get to it he will have had the dye & any damage cut out & be having it done professionally at that point. We always have random pots of semi-permanent stain shades in our bathroom. I found a full pot of crazy colours & already have the powder bleach & full bottles of liquid peroxide left over from last time we dyed it. The shade of dye is by Crazy Colors one I hadn’t used before so I thought it would be fun to let you in on the process. As with all “random projects” started at 10pm at night the photos aren’t brilliant I did my best!
If you’ve ever tweezed anybodys brows before then you know what fun it can be. It will be going well for a while then you accidentally pinch a bit of skin! Oops! You wince almost as much as they do, then you’ve got to remember not to laugh. A friend likely with shout some form of abuse at you while I find your fella, girlfriend, husband or wife will likely get some form of revenge on you in that very moment! I hate to be tickled or my feet touched so that’s what he will go for, you’ve just got to accept the consequences. Until you find Japonesque have the answer…
That’s not so say the bearded lady’s of the world can’t use this too! It’s just more likely than not there will be a bloke in your life, friend, your fella, a brother or maybe your dad that needs some beard T.L.C. I think there’s a set of stages in a beards life that have to happen for it to look & feel good. This is where Kalamazoo comes to the rescue.

Botanics – The Power Of Plants
There won’t be many mens products that make it on to here unless I get repeated told about them every time it gets used. The funny thing is I must have told him to try this Botanics face scrub at least for 2 or 3 months now before he miraculously picked it up himself and claimed he’s found it. I’m used to him phasing out when skin care get’s mensions the same way I do when I hear the words “cod”, “titanfall” and “gears”.
I think certain men are born knowing that face wash is nescessary and other need a little bit of a nudge. The Botanics was definetly a nudge, it was me knowing that under all that beard was skin lurking there needing more than just face wash. He does have a few scrubs but they only get used for skin that’s on view. When I asked him why he said that the other ones made his beard itch or even made it feel coarse and scratchy.
From what I have been told from the bearded man this really does help to clear out and keep the oil away. His beard is quite dense but is only about half inch long. The botanics stays very creamy as you work it around your face but gets down to the skin. The walnut shell helps to scrub not just the skin but the beard hair as well. I’ve noticed when he does shave it close he seems to get spots less often. Over 2 or 3 weeks of use he says his beard feels softer and when he does wash ti back out you don’t end up with any residue or scrub bits left in there.
Lets just get this straight, I spend alot of time blogging about many different beauty brands and who ends up trying Nuxe out first… my boyfriend! We’ve all heard of the Nuxe Rev De Miel Lip Balm but there’s also a well selected mini range named Nuxe Men.
I really do believe when it comes to beauty the hardest part can be getting someone to just try something out. With so many drugstore brands most men wouldn’t even think never mind dream of spending a little extra on themselves when it comes to body and skin care. Me persoanlly I prefer the look of the packaging on the mens range as opposed to the womens it some how looks sleeker and more together.
What Nuxe Men says
With its coconut-derived cleansing base and physiological pH, this multi-use shower gel will gently cleanse your face, body and hair in a single step. Ultra gentle surfactants extracted from coconut, corn and sunflower will clean without drying out the skin. The skin is left clean, supple and soft, and the hair is soft and shiny.
The fragrance, a cocktail of essential oils (cedar, patchouli, geranium, vetyver), boosts energy and leaves a fresh sensation, whilst Oak and Hornbeam extracts repair the skin’s barrier function.
What my guy thinks of Nuxe Men?
This multi-use product means you can wash face, body and hair. It’s got a mens scent that is more neutral and comfortable that he can carry smelling it for a good few hours after use. On the body this cleans really well without making it feel stripped or itchy, he has sensitive skin and had no reactions to this in any way. His favourite use for this is on his face, for all you bearded men that can’t get hold of a good beard shampoo this not only cleans it but makes his beard soft after using it. Which is a pro for the guys and the ladies too. He has washed his hair with this as well and likes to use this occasionally as the scent hangs around longer. This is a 200 ml bottle so makes this a very well priced product we can afford to replace as needed. From what I can tell he’s used about a 50-70 mls in two weeks so a full bottle should last between 6-8 weeks depending on if you use it for 1 or all 3 uses.
If you’d like to pick this up Nuxe Men Multi-Use Shower Gel can be bought in store or online at Marks & Spencers for £8.50
