In the past Soap & Glory was my go to for body products as I’d always get a set for Christmas, the quality was always there but I was put off a few years back. I had used the Righteous range for so long that I got sick of the scent which could be a shock to most but it became too sweet for me. So when I got a set again from my mum at Christmas it made a lovely change to try them out & see if it would draw me back in.
Sugar Crush Set
This was used day in day out for about 4 months straight then I lost the pot! Luckily I had what you see in the photo above left in it, very little at all. I didn’t repurchase as I’m always trying something new but when I took a sniff it brought back that gorgeous scent & how much I enjoyed using it. With the same consistency as the Righteous body butter but with a zingy fresh lime scent to it. This is your morning wake up call to enrich your senses when your still half asleep! Just as moisturising this has shea butter & cocoa nut balm which really helped my dry skin. As you can see it was practically empty when it disappeared so I did really like using it.
Soap & Glory™ Sugar Crush™ Body Scrub 300ml – £10.50
This has the scent just as strong as the body butter which is refreshing. However this just didn’t work so well as a scrub. The main scrub is brown sugar in an oily liquid which sort of worked but it never lasted long enough for me on the skin. I only used the pot above twice, it’s only a small pot not the full 300 ml but I had to use a lot to get anywhere with it. The macadamia grains seems far & few between to have any scrubbing ability at all. The funny thing is the Flake Away scrub I loved using that & would recommend it over this one. Or try the other Soap & Glory product I bought recently that has blown me away, is cheaper & will likely last you longer.
Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash 500ml – £6.50
The reason I was so late to check this set out was I never quite got round to using the body wash until recently. It’s one of those products I accumulate & never finish any of them. I did get to this last month & it’s really lovely, not as strong as the others which is nice if you like lime but want gently waking up from your slumber. It has a nice lather without being overly foamy, I used it for a few weeks as shaving gel without adding water & it worked well to get me soft smooth legs! I liked this as the engineering job I do I always get dust through my clothes, my skin is often a dark grey when I get home, lovely! Sugar Crush just seems to cut through the grime without drying my skin out.
Soap & Glory™ Sugar Crush™ Body Scrub 300ml – £8
The range is on offer at Boots on 3 for 2 right now if you fancy some sugar crush scent for yourself.
Overall the scent is fabulous, a much more modern Soap & Glory Scent for all you non early birds like me who need a helping hand out of bed! I’m still looking at other scrubs if you have any suggestions. I’m also always on the look out for an even more hydrating body butter if you have any comment below please.
