Nowadays, you can organize your entire life on the phone – shop for clothes and tickets, read news, book appointments, find dates. But with these makeup applications, your smartphone will become a lot smarter.
1. Beautiful Me
Beautiful Me is an iPhone application that auto-downloads up to 500 of your Facebook photos, and among them selects 100 photos of the highest quality to detect your skin profile. The app measures your facial features and instantly gives you personalized information about the general characteristics of your skin, such as your skin tone and undertones. Next, by the chronological analysis of the photos, it provides data about the changes on your skin and aging trend, to help you better understand your own skin. This may sound complicated, but actually it is all presented in the form of easily interpretable graphs and charts. In the end, the app recommends the best anti-aging and cosmetic products for your skin type, as well as the hair and makeup colors that would best suit you.
2. Pretty in My Pocket
Beauty products shopping experience has just been enhanced with Pretty in My Pocket. This social platform will become your new best shopping buddy. We bet that you have wasted heaps of money on wrong skin care products. Pretty in My Pocket will make sure that this does not happen again. First, set up a profile and personalize it, so that the application can learn more about you and make better product recommendations based on your account. Start by connecting with your favorite bloggers, makeup artists, and beauty experts. You might even be rewarded with coupons or discounts that you can use to purchase beauty products in your local drugstore, or samples to test. But the greatest advantage of this application is that you can scan any barcode and read real user reviews for that product before you decide to buy it, as well as watch the how-to videos for the given product.
3. L’Oreal Makeup Genius
The revolution in the makeup shopping is here. L’Oreal Makeup Genius uses a state-of-the-art facial mapping technology to show you how a certain product would look on you. This is all happening in the real time. How does it work? The app uses the front-facing phone camera to map out 64 points on your face. Then, all you need to do is pick a makeup product from the list, or scan a barcode, and the app shows you how you would look wearing different shades of lipstick, eyeliner, or eyeshadow without you actually applying the product. And when you move your head, the makeup moves with it. That is how ingenious it is. The only downside is that it covers only L’Oreal products.
Find makeup inspiration in the coolest photography community – the EyeEm app. EyeEm is a photography tool and social network that enables you to process your photos, share them with others, and view the images posted by other talented photographers. Great content is perhaps the greatest feature of the app. You can easily search through it based on your interest. Look for makeup ideas and you will get a stream of albums on the given topic to search through.
YouTube is still unsurpassed when it comes to finding the best beauty tutorials on the web. It contains millions of videos posted by makeup artists and beauty vloggers that will help you step up your makeup game. You can now download the app for iPhone, Android, and Windows.
